Month/Year Started at Redeemer Health: September 1998
Previous Positions and Companies: I was an ICU CCRN staff nurse at Roxborough Memorial Hospital from 1980 to 1992, and a nurse manager for ICU, telemetry and ED from 1992 to 1994. Then I transitioned, and was IT Manager at Roxborough Memorial Hospital from 1994 to 1996. In 1996, I came to Holy Redeemer as Sr. Clinical Analyst. In 1997 I became Clinical Director for Access Care, but I came back to Holy Redeemer in 1998.
How does your work here contribute to the Redeemer Health mission to care, comfort and heal?
I manage all the acute care clinical systems. I have a team of nine analysts who support and enhance the IT experience for staff and patients. We work together collaboratively with departments to implement, upgrade and enhance IT clinical software, while meeting usability and regulatory requirements.
What do you enjoy doing outside of work?
I am very into meditation and once a month on Saturday mornings I do two meditation sessions in a salt cave. I like to go for walks, read books, cook and bake, especially for others. I like to go to rock concerts and I enjoy fine dining. I have a house in Clearwater, Fla., and I like to spend time there. Facetiming with my grandchildren. I Facetime with my 19-month-old grandson every night!
What would you like to share about your family and pets?
I have two daughters and three grandchildren. They are without a doubt the most important people in my life. I do not see them as often I would like since they all live out of state. My children are each accomplished in their own right and I am very proud of them. I also have recently added a dog to my family. His name is Henry.
