About Edward Peter Schuman, MD

Dr. Schuman is board certified in Pulmonary Disease, Sleep Medicine, and Internal Medicine, with a special interest in Sleep Medicine. Dr. Schuman earned his medical degree from Boston University School of Medicine. He remained in Boston to complete an Internship and Residency in Internal Medicine at the VA Medical Center.  He came to Philadelphia to do a fellowship in Pulmonary Disease and Critical Care Medicine at Temple University Hospital.  After doing a Chief Residency there, he joined Dr. Dhand in 1983, and in 1987, they established the first sleep laboratory in the region. In his spare time, Dr. Schuman enjoys skiing and photography.
